Here's the original - Panasonic DMC-FZ18 - 1/125sec - F4.2 - ISO 125
Just a quick grab shot of a squirrel sitting on a fence post by my studio. Poorly framed and sort of blah looking. But that can be fixed.
Mr. Squirrel, post-processed in LightZone 3
Cropped, punched up a little bit to make things a little more realistic. A big improvement, but why stop here?
The dark side of Mr. Squirrel
Oops! Now we've gone too far. Post-processing is like putting on makeup. A little is good, but you've got to know when to stop.
This is my favorite
It's more dramatic than the first try, which is okay, but just another nature photograph.
